High School Girls Teams in '08

I know there aren't very many girls on here but just wondered how the other teams were looking.

Verona lost a few seniors but should still be pretty good this year.

lafollette only lost one senior last year and she was a newbee so we didnt lose anything....we have quite a few new players this year though but last years team will definatley be returning.

anyone know how many teams there are this year? and if any new teams formed??

You guys lost that fiine player named Nicole due to a move to Iowa. She was one of the better players on the team, wasn't she?

yeaaa we did she was one of the better ones but now our penatlys should go down a bit too. she was a bit of a hacker. but well still be as good as before if not better

I believe that for varsity teams it will be: Verona, LaFollette, West, Middleton, Sun Prairie, Brookfield, Arrowhead 1, Arrowhead 2.

I'm not sure about JV but I think there are a couple of new teams in Milwaukee that are starting out in the JV league.

brookfield has a varsity team??
i heard that they werent that good last year...maybe not?

I'm pretty sure they are varsity.

Haha... its funny you say that. She gave one of our players a bloody finger when they were just messing around one night. Hacked him right across the thumb I think.

I think they played JV last year since it was their first year but are moving up to varsity this year.

Just a question if any Middleton girls read this...

I was talking to this girl the other day that moved from somewhere on the east coast and was talking to me about how she was trying to find a lacrosse team...and I asked where she goes to school and she says Middleton...just curious to see if she joined...

any one know our schedule for the year????

yea we were pretty close to it last season
we were up for a portion of the game and then it went downhill

Um....only a few people. They still have Chatham who was their leading scorer last year as a sophomore, she's a junior this year. From the games I watched, she could pretty much score at will without much problem.

I think most of the schedules are up at http://leagueathletics.com/Default.asp?snid=54692168&org=madlax.org. We had a close game with them last year, lost by 1 or 2 I think. Hopefully should be some good games with them this year.

yeaaa she was very good
but when we played the all star game i remember talking to some of the defenders on arrowhead and how they werent too keen on her because she was basically a one man team and all she did was score and never pass.....but apparently it works for them

You would think that, but she had the highest assist count I think. Of the games I watched she came up pretty even with assists and goals.

I played on her team in the all star game and if I recall correctly, I think she did a lot more passing than shooting.

i just heard different stuff from some of her teammates

well that was just one game playing with people she doesn't usually play with so it's very likely that she could play differently

so has any other teams started practices yet?
i talked to a bunch of middleton girls last night, and they just started.
we dont start to next week though...
