| Heres some pictures of the new STX heads being released for 2010 rule changes: Heres the Super Power, basically the updated Proton Power. This head is NCAA and NFHS legal: Here is the Professor, 2010 NCAA legal, but not NFHS legal: Also their is the Revolver which will only be NFHS legal but I didn't post it. Bottom line is, these heads do not seem much different. The professor looks like a box head, and seems like it may even give offensive players a bigger advantage. I do not think people have anything to worry about, and wouldn't be surprised if this ended up completely backfiring in the NCAA face regarding their intentions. | |

| You could string some BAGS in that professor head... but how wide is it all the way up? Looks pretty wide | |

| It sort of reminds me of a regulation size Guru the way its shaped. I think I may be picking up a few of those for next season. | |

| yea there was a lot of buzz about these heads on facebook when STX released pictures of these a few weeks ago. Super excited for the SuperPower, not sure if i fully appreciate the professor though, just looks goofy.
they are also releasing a third model, the revolver, and another addition to the K18 line(looks like kyle's spin on a viper 2) but they do not follow the 2010 NCAA specs. looks like a sick head.

| I dont think ppl understand how wide these heads are going to be and these heads are barely legal so any kind a pinch will make it illegal even if the ball will come out. but it all comes down to how well of a pocket you have strung. Also i heard that brine is just going to keep the heads they have and just make them legal for next year. | |

stx is doing something remotely similar, i strung up a brand new 09 bionic and i noticed it had a different pinch than a traditional bionic, after measuring, the 09 bionic was significantly wider(by so much as 3/8 of an inch) in some places. definetly 2010 legal. as i always say, it's the magician, not the wand

http://www.sportstop.com/Mens-Lacrosse-Equipment/Attack/STX-Professor-Lacrosse-Head allegedly, Burghardts Sporting Goods in the milwaukee area is going to begin to re-stock their shelves with STX equipment starting this fall, so shortly after halloween you can expect to start seeing some worthwhile lacrosse heads in a store near you

| Just got my new stx Professors.
Perfect d-head. stiff, good scoop, strings up very nicely. I also have two of the new Edge's, and I definitely prefer the style and function of the Professor.
Alot of people see a 2010 head for the first time and they assume that the wide face will kill ball retention. Not true, if you're a crafty stringer. PM me and I can get you detail on about how to string a perfect channel in one of these wide heads.

Lax.com also the wider heads will allow you to have more of a "bag" form for your pocket. ball retention may even become easier and this whole thing may backfire.
