Doing this for a UW system school should be done entirely differently than doing a team for MATC. Assuming they have any club sports you want to go to whoever your clubs sports director is, and apply to create a club sport. Basically you need to have a mission statement/some bylaws, things that are pretty easy to make up. You want/need to do this for a couple reasons. First off doing this puts you in line for SUFAC money, which is huge. Whitewater has our goals/balls/field paint/hotels/partially jerseys/a lot of our equipment paid for by the university through SUFAC money, because of this we pay $100 a year to play. Second reason is, UW schools get real pissed when you do things without them knowing. Even if you made say a Mad Cow like team which has no school affiliation, if the majority of the players are from UW-MC and they find out, they'll be upset. Bad news. So find out who is in charge of club sports there and ask them how to proceed. If there are no club sports, then go the MATC style route.
